Using A Test Policy For Troubleshooting

If you believe that one of the applications is causing a problem that you are experiencing, rather than turning off the applications (which can cause other issues), here is an easier way of determining which app is causing the issue:
- Create a new policy (Apps > Policy Manager > Policies). You will want this test Policy to be a child of the Policy that you are troubleshooting.
Set up multiple Policy Manager rule sets for different users? - Move the IP of your test device to this new Policy (Apps > Policy Manager > Rules).
- Test the traffic that you are troubleshooting by adding apps, one at a time, after each test. When adding the apps, you are doing the same as disabling them in the parent Policy. This is a great way of determining which app is causing the issue that you are troubleshooting.
